Welcome to my website!

This is where you will find all my teaching activities, what the workshops are all about, when and where they are happening, how much they cost, how to register, as well as what is happening on my blog and on my youtube channel. There's a gallery of pictures taken during my classes; my biography to learn a bit more about me: who I am, what I do and what I believe in. And finally you will find a page of people's testimony after having followed my classes. And by the way! If you are one of my previous students, don't hesitate to send in your own testimony!

To thank you of your visit, I'm going to reveal to you the secret of this website's title: The Xylophone waiting for you.

First of all, it's a metaphor. You see, English is a very mellifluous language and it can be compared to music with all its rhythm and intonation variations. Therefore, with the right tools that I'm going to give you, hopefully you will be able to play the instrument of the English language and have fun while doing it. And it's right there, ready for you to embark on this new journey towards mutlilingualism.

I'm a strong advocate of learning while playing. My daugher inspires me so much in that way because she is playing all the time, but she's learning so much. She's three years old by the way, and she's perfectly bilingual! Children look so innocent while playing all day long, but they are indeed learning many many things about the world around them. And let's face it, with our lives being as complicated as they are, why would we want to go through something painful and over-serious on top of it all? That's why I believe fun is the key to success in learning, might you be a child, a teenager, an adult, a parent, a grandparent, or even a cat - (I swear one day I'll have a bilingual cat...)

Second of all, I have to be honest to you guys, I didn't really invent that sentence about the xylophone as much as I hallucinated it. Yes, that's right. You know, when you hear a song, and you're 100% sure that the lyrics say something, but in the end, that isn't what the singer says at all and you feel kind of silly? That's called a mondegreen. The song where this sentence comes from is "Build me up Buttercup" by the Foundations. The singer says "I'll be beside the phone waiting for you", and a lot of people hear instead "I'm the xylophone waiting for you", me included. You can listen to the song just below and check it out: did you hear it too?

Finally, I wish you great discoveries on this website, and I hope to meet you very soon in one of my workshops!

Cheers people!
